Process Steps

PLANNING: Identify key areas of risk and set goals for improvement. Carefully select equipment or proposed work practices proven to prevent or contain slip or trip hazards.

ORGANISATION: Ensure workers are involved and committed to reducing risks. Encourage employee responsibility and review practices regularly with records that identify specific responsibilities.

CONTROL: Check to ensure that working practices and processes are being carried out properly. Keep a record of cleaning or maintenance work and provide positive encouragement for progress.

MONITOR AND REVIEW: Re-examine systems, study accident investigation and inspection reports. Is improvement evident?
