What makes your shoes the most slip-resistant?

Are all 'safety shoes' slip-resistant?
No. Only those labeled slip-resistant. But just because it has that label doesn’t mean you won’t slip. To earn that label you only have to have a minimal degree of slip resistance.

Why are some soles more slip-resistant than others?
Different sole compounds and tread designs create different coefficients of friction. Therefore, some grip the floor better than others.

Does 'oil-resistant' mean the same as slip-resistant?
No. Generally that refers to the shoe’s upper material. However, SoleMate only supplies shoes that are are oil resistant as well as slip resistant on both wet and greasy or oily surfaces.

How long will the sole last?
There’s no single answer to this question. It depends on how you use your shoes. However we offer a 30-day wear and compare guarantee as well as a 90 day defective shoe policy. We are aware of people wearing them for over 2 years.

Are your soles guaranteed not to slip?
Please remember that NO sole is 100% slip-proof. It is important to combine shoes supplied by SoleMate with a proper floor maintenance program in order to achieve maximum slip and fall incident reduction.

What size shoe should I order?
We recommend that you order the standard New Zealand / Australian shoe size that fits you best and we will then send you the equivalent US size.
